Musical Repairs is relatively new, but the background to this business stretches back over 45 years. Neil and Ian Toy worked together with their father the founder member of Musical Instrument Repairs & Sales Ltd (MIR) in Halesowen.
MIR operated from Halesowen for over 30 years and was very well known and loved locally, nationally and even internationally as one of the leading brass and woodwind musical instrument repair specialists. We are a family run business with over 70 years experience in the industry.
Neil Toy
After completing school Neil was invited to join his father's business, Musical Instrument Repairs and Sales Ltd in Halesowen. He became an apprentice training in both brass and woodwind instrument repairs. During his 16 yrs at MIR he learnt all the skills required to become the master craftsman he is today.
He worked along side his father and brother at Musical Instrument Repairs until MIR''s sad closure in February 2009.
Following the closure of Musical Instrument Repairs and Sales Ltd, Neil together with his brother and with the support of his father and family have opened Musical Repairs in Cheslyn Hay near Cannock.

During his 12years at MIR in Halesowen he gained valuable knowledge of the repair and music industry. He also learnt the skills to be a competent and successful craftsman.
After the sad closure of Musical Instrument Repairs and Sales Ltd, Ian and Neil decided to start their own new venture Musical Repairs in Cheslyn Hay.
